Julien VIGNIKIN, a Beninese artist born in Ouidah in 1966, lives and works in Auxerre, Burgundy. Multi-disciplinary, he has gone through all the stages of artistic creation: drawings, paintings, sculptures and installations.

With an academic background, he quickly detached himself to give free rein to his overflowing creativity. He draws his inspiration from European and African sources.

His creations may be associated with an aesthetic of chaos, but they are in fact based on a precise, highly analytical deciphering of the society around him.
